Asian Girls at Us open qualies

I never post but I follow Asians for very long(late eighties) and I thought some would like to know about players which are rare on tv.
I watched all Asians first round, except Hisamatsu and Tanasugarn(woke up late) and will watch second and third rounds also.

Morita played a good match but only used her power, trying to hit hard everytime: she lost tons of points because of Birnerova returns she tried to return as hard but found the net.

Miho played a good second set trying to construct points especially on her forehand. She seemed a little nervous at the end.

I only saw a few from Chin-Wei: she was clearly dominated and rallies were ended by her errors. She was playing far better in RG against Blahotova; very solid from both sides, fast.

I absolutely wanted to see Junri Namigata. She has a very good serve, very rare foe a japanese, and did a lot of winners with it. She's solid both sides with a flat bachand and a top spin forehand. Her weakness are a lack of power and her move. But she was pretty solid mentally, which surprised as it was her first GS match.

Suchanan beat an everytime moonballing Gambale: she had to be patient and to wait for opportunities. She did well in tiebreak. But she doesn't have power and will have to take risks the next matches.

Hsieh is the same as last year: huge errors and very gound strokes altern. I thought she would have improved. Her opponent was clearly injured and couldn't put 3 balls in a row in court.

Li played a very good match and when she was on fire, was very impressive, dictating all points from both sides and at net. She's very unlucky with draws: last year Bammer and this year, a very good Fernandez.

Yung-Yan played a very good match, despite struggling a little with her backhand. She runs fast and has a lot of power. But she's smart and knows how to return a ball. I really hope a third round against Pratt.

Finally, I came to see 2 japanese hopes:

Erika Takao is so cute! She's very very small more than Hiraki, I guess. She reminds me of Coetzer: she's incredibly fast and returns balls very deeply. She is good both sides especially on her forehand( she did several winners with it). She also did a lot of impressive drop shots: even if Rossana could have some, Erika was passing her after. Her weakness are her lack of power and her serve. This one is very erratics: when I came, she did winners and aces, but in second set, she couldn't put a first serve in and did many DF. Fortunately, her serve came back to good in the third.

Fuda was incredibly impressive: she was on every ball and tried to make them as hard and long than possible. She didn't miss a lot and completely dictated the match.

Hope you enjoyed! Will go to second round now

Thanks for the reports,I enjoyed a lot.
And allow me to remind you,she is Yung-"J"an.

Good to see Yung-Jan's improving,as such a young girl.
I really want to know how she served? Since I always consider it her biggest weaking.Thanks.
And yeah, can't wait to see how far can she make against Pratt.:woo:

And actually Su-Wei injured too with her arms. But I think even if she's healthy, she's been seldom seen to be fully pumped and motivated.Hope she can get well soon.

And for Chin-Wei,I have to say she's really fast, especially her backhand. From local news here in Taiwan, she said that it was disappointing, she just couldn't find her rhythm. But I'm possitive to see her become a top100,she's been surging from like 250 last year, that's really impressive, good luck next time.
