Alicia's perfect match?
From Sydney Confidential
IS it a case of game, set, or match between Australia's newest tennis queen Alicia Molik and recently retired NRL heart-throb Ryan Girdler?
Confidential understands the pair shared a dinner for two following Molik's win against Venus Williams at the Australian Open on Monday night.
The rumours swept through Melbourne Park yesterday, placing the sporting pair in a possible love match after Girdler was spotted in Molik's private box on Monday night as she advanced to the quarter finals.
Sydney Confidential can confirm that Molik and Girdler met in early December during the Starlight Foundation's Celebrity Cup at Homebush and while they were not partnered together for the event, they have developed a close friendship since.
It is not the first time Girdler has sat dutifully in the wings as Molik powered on. The star Panthers man did his best to remain anonymous in Molik's private box at the Sydney International where Molik claimed victory earlier this month.
The pair spent time together on the Northern Beaches with Girdler's good friend and current Manly player Chris Hicks before Christmas.
Girdler, who retired from playing for the Panthers at the end of last season, has been in Melbourne since the start of the week.
