I find it difficult to sort the songs from around the 5th place downwards.
If everyone had stayed the same but I'd given Only Time a slightly lower placing, it also would've lost . There are many variables that could've made one or the other win.

Personally I'm glad it was "Only Time" out of those two songs.

Why that?

I know the matter of tastes but... Enya is basically ethereal kind of music, and that Kate Bush one an amazing sound work with captivating beat and great dancing... Creatively, it's incomparable. The more so as Kate transcended the creative side with catchy appeal to the masses... You can hardly do better than that to make people more... smart and tasty.

No 'why' really, just pretty much a case of 'I like that song better than that one' .

I also prefer Enya's song, when I was 12 or 13 years old I used to love it. I'm not a fan anymore these days.

Contrary to most people here, I don't find Kate Bush so amazing and creative to be honest (even though her weirdness/uniqueness is appealing). It's borderline kitsch to me.

How do u say De Groovy?
How do u say De Gorgeous?
How do u say, DE LAY DE LAY DE LAY De Lay..

Diiig!

It takes a lot of talent and bravery to do such daring material and have it still sell well in the mainstream market. She and Yoko Ono made eccentric music but they have ended up inspiring a whole generation of songwriters so I am not going to judge them.

The thing is that I don't find her material particularly daring

As you said, it's quite a feat that she managed to succeed in this world without becoming a product, but that's about it for me.
Similar with Yoko Ono whom I like much less, tbh.

The artists' cultural impact and life stories are not likely to have an impact on what I like or not.

"borderline kitsch" is only your aesthetical opinion about an undisputable creativity. But I won't enter in music analysis to explain why Kate Bush's music is rich, imaginative and amazingly creative (and fun and ressourceful), it'd be fastidious, and everybody's allowed to not like her music.

I have no problem with Enya being a winner of this contest, I appreciate that people vote honestly and sincerely for what they like. That's the point of the game and it must stay that way.
