Bea took a WC into Amelia Island.

She faces Nicole Pratt in the first round, it's a tough match, but she can do it.

Go Bea!!

Bea Lost to Pratt 2-6 7-5 6-0, which is still a good result. She really battled out there for the first two sets, but I wonder what happened in the third.

Still, clay is definitely not suited to Bea, so this is a good scoreline.

She had two BP's at 5-5 in the second set and failed to convert and came right back and got broken at love...she lost a string of games after that before she finally held again...

Both her and Laura wilted in the third set...after having chances in the second...

i'm starting to wonder whether bea is having some mental problems with closing out matches because even in the challenger events she hasn't bee going that deep into the tournaments and yet she comes and plays a high level wta tournament against a solid top 50 player and compete's really well and has the chances to win but ends up folding.

i'm still happy with the result but i think that is something she still has to work out and if she wants to get ranked up where her current physical game should be then she needs to fix the mental side of things.

but i'm happy that she seems to been gradually moving up the ranks. soon she should be up in the top 200 and then she might get soome better results because she won't need to qualify as much for the challenger events.

And her game should be good on the grass!!
