Shoulder Injury???

I saw Mel play in Miami and she had her shoulder taped. ( as in the pics posted as well).

She was also using a new serve motion so I'm wondering if this is the reason for the shaky results lately. If so maybe she will do better as she grooves in the new serve.

Honestly I didn't like the serve. She holds the racquet face open and flat at the beginning, and then brings it up and its causing her elbow to drop. In fact I saw her first round match and she
doubled faulted the first 2 points of hte match and didn't hold serve until the end of the first set. Fortunately her opponent couldn't keep a forehand in the court. I left at the end of the first set so apparently she got it together after that.

Again - just thinking this might be the reason.
