Post Correct me if I am wrong about Serena's year, but

I believe that Ms Thing has now officially made it to at least the Quarter Finals of every tournament she has entered this year.

F Venus Williams L 2-6, 4-6
3 of these quarters, Williams should have MOST DEFINITELY WON. IT WAS NOT a matter of her opponents "coming back". It was Serena, "going away."

In my opinion, she could have even won that french Qf. Even though she was not in the best physical form there, she STILL had enough I believe to win it, but commited too many unforced errors.

Sanex Championships / Indoor - carpet

QF Justine Henin W 6-3, 7-6

You know what that also shows???

Serena has not lost to anyone ranked below her yet this year..... I wonder if anyone else has that distinction???
Please make that record perfect by winning tomorrow Re Re

rmc: yes, Australia's Ivana Jovanovic has not lost to anyone ranked beneath her this year. It'd be hard for her to - she's the lowest ranked player at #1212!

Congrats Serena

Monica didn't lose to any one ranked below her last year, I think!

Any way, great achievement indeed Serena! Hopefully next year, you don't even lose before the finals at all!

I agree that some of those Quarters she could've won, like:

QF Australian: Serena vs Hingis: Serena actually had a chance to serve the match out, she shoudl've put more into the game, but she "went away".

QF French: Serena vs Capriati: I'm not so sure if she would've won but she could've done a bigger effort that could've given her the match.

QF Estyle: Serena vs Seles: 6 MATCH POINTS!!! She should've closed it out, period.

QF Wimbeldon: Serena vs Capriati: Painful to watch for me, She had a chance to serve out in the second set, even if she was ill, She would've been able to close it out at 5-4 (i think) and win the match, but it was all downhill from there.

YEt, one thing about that match that gave me alot of hope in Serena was in the third set when she was down 5-0, as sick as she was she managed to win 3 straight games.

No doubt next year, with her confidence soaring after winning the Chase, Finals of USO and her big win in Tornonto, It's gonna be the year of Serena........and Venus jeje.

I really believe she's gonna win a grand Slam this year, i think it's gonna be the Australian or Wimbeldon.

In French Open, Serena could have win.....

She had the lead of the third set 1-0 0-40.... Jennifer kept her serve..... And also Serena winning second set, her confidence was at 100% maybe... Usually it is...
She could have win that match, but, lt's forget the past, and looks for the future!
