Americans to Watch

Ok, so a couple of people saw this on my blog and told me I should post this here. Since I am taking a hiatus from blogging, I decided to do it. Basically it's a list of Americans that I feel a worthy of watching/that I feel I have potential to move up the rankings. There's a mix of established players, players breaking through to the top, girls transitioning from the juniors to the pros, and girls still in the juniors. Obviously I can't include every American girl, or the list would be extremely long. If you want to suggest a girl, feel free. From time to time I might ask you guys how you feel about a certain player being removed from or added to the list. First of all, I would like to say that this idea was inspired by iPatty's "iWatch for the Future of Tennis" thread. Also the graphics in these threads were made for me by users ArturoAce and iSzavay.

Can you add more though?
Perhaps Granville, Spears, Lee-Waters and Stevenson.
Why not Couts or Mueller?

Re: Americans to Watch

If I add everyone, I won't be able to keep up. I plan on posting results for all of the girls on the list, and I don't want it to get too large. Part of what qualifies someone for the list is potential for improvement. Stevenson and Spears have both gotten older, so I can't see them making much of an impact. Top 200 at best now. Maybe if they hit a patch of good form, things will change.
Granville is coming back from injury still, and with her recent withdrawals, I want to wait until she's playing a bit more and consistently posting good results.
Couts and Lee-Waters are all close to the list. I'm unsure about Mueller. It depends on her results.

In the Junior section of the forum, Sachia gets a lot of hype. Lauren Davis is number 1 for freshmen girls on tennisrecruiting.net, even ahead of Grace Min. She is just now starting to play more on the ITF Junior Circuit.

Re: Americans to Watch

AEGON International QR1:

Jill Craybas def. Virginia Ruano Pascual 6-3 2-6 7-6(6)

25k Szczecin SF:

(3)Stephanie Gehrlein def. (Q)Christina McHale 6-1 6-0

G3 International Grass Court Championships F:

(Q)Lauren Davis def. (1)Brooke Bolender 6-2 3-6 6-2

Unfortunately, Christina's run came to a screeching halt, but she had a good week nonetheless.
Great tournament for Lauren! Only her third ITF Junior event, and already a title!

EDIT: Forgot that Eastbourne qualifying was going on. Added Jill's result to the top.
