Re: Aussies in Overseas Challengers - Volume 2

Thank Jesus Liv scraped through her first round match in 25k Saskatoon. I knew when I saw that her qualifier opponent wasn't ranked in WTA or even ITF that it was going to be a shit fest She always keeps us on the edge of our seats!

[3] Rogowska d (Q) Livianu 2-6 7-6(6) 6-1
Tjandramulia d [W] Sleeth 6-1 6-2
[2] Inglis d Hsu 6-3 6-2

It feels weird seeing Maddy seeded so high!

Crazy to think after all these years Liv is still slugging away at $25K's, and not even doing well in them.

You'd wonder how she could afford to keep at it. Those AO wc's could only carry her so far.

Maddie and Olivia both make the quarter finals. Miss Rogowska suffered a three set loss to someone I have not heard of........

Re: Aussies in Overseas Challengers - Volume 2

Rogowska's peers in Moore, Adamczak and Sanders have made successful attempts at doubles careers after singles became too hard for them with injury and lack of results. This has gotten them well and truly into the top 100 for doubles, playing at each of the slams and presumably making a lot more money. Rogowska a former top 100 doubles player could consider this avenue, although I still have doubts she could do as well as the mentioned 3 but what has she got to lose.

Re: Aussies in Overseas Challengers - Volume 2

Livís opponent was a 23 year old mediocre college grad who regularly plays 15ks and doesnít even do that well in them. Shocker of a loss.

I wish she would commit 100%, but her decision I guess. Won't be surprised to see her withdraw
