Some details are appearing on the ITF calendar:

25k Cairns 16 /9
60k Darwin 23/9
25k Brisbane 30/9
25k Toowoomba 7/10

60k Bendigo 21/10
60k Playford 28/10

all are on HC and all except Bendigo are joint with men's tournaments.

that's all so far ...

Only change from last year is Canberra to Playford. Everything else is the same.

Wonder what happens to Playford event in January? With Adelaide getting a WTA event next year, it would be nice to have that event relocated to Perth (and also upgraded) now that HC has been axed.

I wonder if NSW will also be looking to have an event with WTA Sydney getting axed.

Main Draw: Maddison Inglis (4th), Kaylah Mcphee (10th), Olivia Rogowska (13th)

Qualies: Belinda Woolcock (11th), Abbie Myers (17th), Alison Bai (29th), Alexandra Bozovic (37th), Olivia Tjandramulia (39th)

Alternates: Gabriella Da Silva Fick (5th), Ivana Popovic (16th), Alana Parnaby (31st), Alexandra Osborne (32nd), Sara Tomic (45th), Bojana Marinkov (47th), Alicia Smith (49th), Masa Jovanovic (51st), Giorgie Jones (52nd), Lisa Mays (54th), Isabella Bozicevic (58th) - all the rest are unranked

Hopefully by the time the tournament rolls around Mcphee will have snuck into the seedings.
Would be nice if Rogowska can get some wins as well, if not I wouldn't be shocked if she doesn't stick around too much longer.
I'd love to know why Sara has gone almost the entire year without playing. Will be interesting to see if they chuck her a qualies WC if she doesn't make it as an alternate...

I would imagine there will be heaps of withdrawals so many of the Q list will end up in the MD.

On recent form Osborn deserves a WC [if she needs one] more than Tomic. Or there are the juniors Marshall and Poulos ...

It has been a fairly uneventful week in Cairns with no real surprises. As such, we have the top four seeds making up the semifinals:

[1] Inglis v [3] Muhammad
[4] Zlochova v [2] Rogowska

Maddy didn't win a main draw match during this ITF swing last year (she even lost in 25k qualifying) so top 150 can be a realistic goal for her by the year's end.
