Kim borrows her mom's shoes!

Sorry if that has been posted, but I wish I had seen this live

SHOE SHUFFLE

One of Belgian star Kim Clijsters' shoes started to fall apart at 4-4 in the second set of her doubles match with partner Ai Sugiyama.

The solution? Borrow mom's.

Clijsters' mother Els was in the stands watching the clash against South Africa's Amanda Coetzer and Jessica Steck.

Daughter Kim made a quick change, finishing the match in the 'new' pair while her mother sat barefoot in the stands.

It didn't affect the result though, Clijsters and Sugiyama, seeded seventh, won 6-2, 6-4.

Prayed through the nights
felt so alone
suffered from alienation
carried the weight on my own
Had to be strong
so I believed
and now I know I've succeeded
in finding the place I conceived

Kim's mom was wearing Kims shoes. So Kim knew she could change shoes with her mom. This was in the Belgian newspaper...

No!!!

I used to wear Nike tennis shoes and once I did a week training session! In brussels on hard court during the summer when there was 35°C in Belgium and on the second day, my shoes were just cut in two by the heat!

Players tend to use worn shoes at the Aus Open to compensate for the stickiness of the court (causing many players to turn their ankles)....sometimes they might be too worn.

I was at this match... but where I was sitting I didn't see Kim get the other shoes... I wondered why she was changing her shoes! lol
