That is all they said, nothing of how it happened, how long has it been a trouble?

when you take the court leave the excuses at home. no "my eye surgery" from jen no my knees from rena.

I don't like excuses either, but if she is injured then it's a pity that it's such very bad timing for her.

Are talking injured like she might not be able to play or injured like an annoyance, but still can play.

Well, 36-76-11 now! Let's wait & see if Rena can pull it off! She's not called supergirl for no reason.

playing with small injuries is part of the game. Last year it was a "serious" injury that kept her off the court. Aches and pains and whatever can be dealt with. Remember venus playing through tendenitis last year? Hello! Im sure it hurt like heck but she toughed it out, that was a fine moment in my eyes.

I agree with cybelle. No one should play in serious pain, but any top athlete in any sport goes out there with aches and pain. Geez, even I do, at my pathetic amateur level of tennis. It might very well be why Serena is struggling, I'm sure it's true, but that's the nature of sport, if you're not feeling 100%, you might not win that day.
I think Serena will win and it will be a great mental victory.
