Boring day at the Open ...

All the seeds look pretty safe. Like yesterday. I do see three matches where the seeds may have their hands full.

20 Bovina vs Zvonareva - They've played twice as pros, each winning once. Zvonareva won last year tho'.

19 Coetzer vs Schett - Coetzer is older, weaker, and at this stage of her career, may not be that much faster. But this is a match between possibly THE best conditioned athlete on the tour, year in and year out, vs a player who'd be top ten if she was in close to the condition Amanda is in. In the Aussie heat, Schett gonna wilt like a sun-dried tomato, but on talent she has a real chance here.

14 Pistolesi vs Tu - Somehow, Meilen Tu found a 1st round opponent who can't overpower her. THis is a match for fans of old style tennis.
