I watched the end of Nugroho's match today. This girl has what it takes to win the title. She has great court coverage and variety

When your family is rich like Emma Navarro's family, you can play juniors passed your 18th birthday if you really want to be a junior champ, but for the others, playing juniors is not getting you any income and your federation has to pay all the costs. If they win one Jr. Slam title that's it, the next thing on their mind is prize money.
Andreescu has reached the 3rd spot just like Fernandez. She did not win a Jr. Slam singles title but she followed Halep's advice to leave juniors ASAP. 18 months later she shocks the tennis world by winning F....ing Indian Wells.

Re: JA The Junior Championships Wimbledon, Great Britain

So the final 4 is set:

(1) Navarro (USA) vs Snigur (UKR)
(4) Parry (FRA) vs (10) Noel (USA)

Navarro, Snigur and Parry are all currently ranked between 330 and 430 in the WTA rankings, so an extra incentive for those 3 as a Wimbledon MDWC next year will be a very realistic possibility if they can get their ranking down a bit more. A QWC would be more realistic for Noel.

Re: JA The Junior Championships Wimbledon, Great Britain

Watched a bit of Navarros and Noels matches... they are a bit too pushy for my taste. Navarro hit less than 10 winners in a 3 set match. I thought she was a little more aggressive than that...

Re: JA The Junior Championships Wimbledon, Great Britain

Snigur, Noel and Parry also reached the SF at Roehampton.
And the final was Snigur vs Noel. And Snigur won. Could happen again.

Navarro and Snigur met this year at Aus Open, French Open and now Wimbledon too

Yeah, please give some match reports. I missed the matches. Thanks.

Navarro getting through lots of three setters. Don't really like her as a player but I find it great she's such a gritty competitor despite being born so rich.

Not so much a gritty competitor today. Lost in straight sets and bageled in the second. 6-3 6-0

Re: JA The Junior Championships Wimbledon, Great Britain

I'm so happy for Daria Snigur with her first Major final because all that time she was a shadow of Marta Kostyuk and Dasha Lopatetskaya. Hope she can achieve something big in her Pro-tennis career as it's her last Junior tournament. She's a clever girl.

Re: JA The Junior Championships Wimbledon, Great Britain

I see the girls have been inspired by the women as both losing semi finals won a combined total of 6 games today.

A repeat of the Roehampton final between Snigur and Noel, where Snigur won 2 and 1, but obviously a much bigger occasion tomorrow.

Didn't see the match but I assume she at least tried her best, which is what I meant. The result is not that surprising tho... Navarro's game is pretty weak.

Re: JA The Junior Championships Wimbledon, Great Britain

Snigur vs Noel final again like at Roehampton (where Daria won 6-1 6-2)
Surprised they won so easily in SF. They destroyed their opponents

I think Noel is underrated here.
She also did not lose a set until the final.

Excited for the final tomorrow. It will be on court 1 ! And there is a livestream
