Apparently, WBS are broadcasting away happily and it really is the BBC's decision not to show it. That really is not what I pay my licence fee for.

See @HuHu 's posts for more detail, e.g. this one.

So it seems you should be able to find a stream for any court, if you know where to look.

(Fortunately for me, the player I most want to see, Mutavdzic, is on the one junior court the BBC are streaming today.)

EDIT: no, not that post. Bear with me...
OK, think I have the intended post now, so must have been my blunder and not some weird tf snafu.

Re: JA The Junior Championships Wimbledon, Great Britain

Linda Fruhvirtova (CZE) upsets (2) Maria Camila Osorio Serrano (COL) 6-4 6-3 !

The last point was funny and entertaining.

Impressive tennis from 2005 girl Linda Fruhvirtova
Tall, aggressive. She reminds me so much of Maria Sharapova
She has the Sharapova forehand, Sharapova game. The Czech Maria Sharapova

Maria Camila Osorio Serrano
Linda was too strong. She has a good game, but must improve her weak serve.

Jelena: "If I had to pick someone after me, I'd pick Serena."

Re: JA The Junior Championships Wimbledon, Great Britain

A successful tournament for USA
5 girls in last 16: Navarro, Scott, Mandlik, Noel, Montgomery.

Emma Navarro vs Katrina Scott should be good.
Also Qinwen Zheng vs Polina Kudermetova.
And Daria Snigur vs Robin Montgomery.

The top half looks stronger.

Jelena: "If I had to pick someone after me, I'd pick Serena."

She seems really nice. How cool would it be for WTA to have a indonesian player

Re: JA The Junior Championships Wimbledon, Great Britain

Priska is a young Barty. Impressed.
Also small, very quick and same game. Strong forehand, backhand slice, smart, net game.
A good serve too. She moved the tall and slow Linda very well. And played the perfect tactic.
I also think that grass suits her game perfectly and she played perfect in last 2 sets.

Linda Fruhvirtova is a Czech Maria Sharapova
Tall, strong groundstrokes, hard-hitter. Great fighter attitude. So much is like Maria.
Her problem: She played too passive. Or Priska played more aggressive.
She stumbled all over the court. Cow on ice - like Maria

Potential is there without a doubt.
Movement and defense are Linda's weakness.
She must play aggressive all the time. Otherwise ...
Also she must improve her serve. And made too many UEs.
But she is very young. So she has plenty of time. She is not ready now.

Unreal how both resemble Barty and Sharapova so much

I also watched a bit of Polina Kudermetova vs Zheng.
Polina has strong solid hard flat groundstrokes. Qinwen has a good serve.
Both girls have a similar game/strokes. But Polina was better and looked confident.
améliemomo and Haihui like this.

Re: JA The Junior Championships Wimbledon, Great Britain

Great win for Priska

Of course Fruhvirtova is the bigger prospect. I could see her having a big rivalry with Gauff at the top of WTA in the future

Re: JA The Junior Championships Wimbledon, Great Britain

was curious to see fruhvirtova game and I was a bit embarrassed tbh, why on earth a young player could decide to play such a game play, BAM BAM BAM on every single shot?was more impressed with the Indonesian girl tbh

about Fruhvirtova, I was not impressed with her game and feel skeptical about her fitness, how will she cope physically cause this type of game is VERY "DEMANDING" (go ask sharapova how she could have the career she's had without the pills...)

yeahhh 2 French players in QF so 1 into SF for sure

I would like Diane to go further but Elsa has been more impressive

French tennis Federation President, Bernard Giudicelli 20/04/2017 : "We do organize a SLAM not a CASTING"

Result : No Wild Card to Maria Sharapova.

Lost in the 1st Round there. I think she should have played Junior Wimbledon and gone for number 1 ranking.

Re: JA The Junior Championships Wimbledon, Great Britain

Funny and interesting meetings in SF with similar games

Polina Kudermetova vs Daria Snigur with their great beautiful strong flat hard groundstrokes.
Both successful lately, are full of confidence. Snigur has a weak attackable serve. I bet on Polina.

And Priska and Noel with good forehands, serves, backhand slice and net attack (Barty-like) games.

Serena: "We have great personalities like Jelena (Jankovic) on the tour."
Jelena: "If I had to pick someone after me, I'd pick Serena."
