Then hit another apparent winner, but was then ruled out on inspection and then lost the next 3 points.

Into a MTB. Big match for both.
Talked to Molinaro after the match. She said (and it really looked like it) that her opponent was very unfair, no fair play at all from her. It was CLEAR that the ball came from the other court during the point and she said that the ref didnt see it first but then decided LET - the only correct decision of course. Soylu was furious but without reason. It was a clear decision. She discussed many decisions, hated her behaviour really. Well deserved win for Molinaro.

I was dipping in and out of the first set and then started properly watching from midway through the second set, didn't really see anything too bad from Soylu in the time I was watching. I'm like GSMR, I like both players so didn't really mind who won. Regarding the talking point, there's no doubt at all that the additional ball came into play before the winner landed, so therefore it has to be a let, but it was extremely unfortunate for Ipek because I'm pretty certain Molinaro wouldn't have got to it and it was such a big point - 30-0 at that stage is obviously massively different to 15-15, and the umpire initially missing it certainly didn't make Ipek feel any better. The correction on the following point was just rubbing salt into the wound, ha.

Probably a bigger match for Ipek giving she is 23/24 now and 350+ places off her career high after an absolute nightmare 18 months or so, but great opportunity for Molinaro and it'll be interesting to see where she lands in the main draw. She gave a trademark scream of delight after match point

Akgul was up 5-2 in the first set against Jani but choked and lost in straights. This was such a good chance for her

IIRC she had kind of a burn out and took a rest from the tour for some times as she couldn't handle the pressure any more.

There are irregular bounces on clay and then there is this bounce.

Dirk Hordoff (Vice President of the German Tennis Association) and Alexander Antonitsch (father of Mira Antonitsch) had meeting there. They have faught really hard to get rid of the new useless Tennis Tour Rules. This is what Dirk wrote on FB:

"So Alexander Antonitsch and Dirk Hordorff had dinner tonight. Eating 4 starters, one main course and dessert discussing all outstanding issues regarding the WTT Tour.

Good news came from WTA. Tournament board representive agreed for points on 15 k tournaments ITF. We believe that players board representive will also agree.

ATP player council is also in favor of supporting the reforms of this desaster WTT. Still hoping the responsible persons in the management notice that time is running and changes need to be implemented now.

Following decisions and suggestions :

1. ATP and ITF should implement fines for employees and management for use of following words:
pathway
healthy
integrity

2. Double up fines for employees or board members who deny the mess they produced regarding WTT and argue with the words pathway, healthy and integrity

3. ATP, WTA and ITF should excuse to all players who were not eligable to participate in our sport for many month and or had big cost for travelling around the world.

4. Instead of destroying tennis ITF should make sure, that enough tournaments with enough spots in qualifying are offered to the players. 48 qualifying draws.
Better calendar.

5. Instead of giving Thomas Koenigsfeld any more awards for the mess he produced with his committee ITF should honor the players who made the facebook groups ITF against players, Change ITF Rules - United Tennis. Additional awards for the players which organised the protest posters at the futures events.

6. ITF should not waste time to agree to following point shedule and ATP and WTA should agree also

QF on at 15 K m/w:
QF : 1
SF : 3
F : 6
W : 10

15 K and hospitality should give like 25 K on ATP

25 K :
Round 16 : 1
QF : 4
SF : 7
F : 10
W : 15

25K with hospitality on ATP
Round 16 : 1
QF : 5
SF : 10
F : 15
W : 20"

Maybe their friendship or alliance is the reason why Mira got WC. She had been injured for some time and she took advantage of that opportunity very well.

Re: W60 Wiesbaden (GER) 2019 | Apr 29 (Draws)

Good showing from 18yo WC Kathleen Kanev (GER) against a much more experienced opponent. Apparently, her mom is Czech and she plays with a one-handed backhand. Two good reasons to like her

Re: W60 Wiesbaden (GER) 2019 | Apr 29 (Draws)

Something bugs me, is it Scholsen on the main picture ? I don't know why they would put her but it looks like her The outfit, the sponsor, the racket.. Even the earrings looks the same. It's pointless but I want to know now

edit: She won the doubles here last year, they probably choosed a random pic but that must be her
Well it must the first time she wins a round above 25k so maybe it helped haha

Krejcikova has really turned on her singles game over the past month! These results should definitely help her get into at least the qualifying draws of some of the bigger doubles tournaments she plays.
