Miss Small playing her match in the prime time slot on Center Court. As she should... This should probably propel her to win 2 games tonight against Woolcock.

What strange scheduling.

Meanwhile, Chirico lost the first set in a tb to Newborn but so far she's been cruising in the 2nd. Please get this one, Louisa.

I KNOW!!! I was checking livescores, and was like....OMG Lou! This would be a bad loss. But looks like she's recovered and started playing better

"The Brengle Ranking Inflation Clay Series"

I wish there were more South American players that could actually prevent people like Brengle or Townsend lingering around and winning these big ass clay ITFs that they have no business winning.

If they have no business winning them, then they won't win them. There are 30 other women in the draw to take them out, if they are better. Brengle/Townsend are interesting examples of girls being not good enough to make a living on WTA level, but also too good to just play ITF. So what do they do?! They play where they can make money, without having to spend an arm/leg to do so. And that is mostly American ITF's. We might not agree with it, but they aren't doing anything wrong. If the system is set up this way, they are taking advantage, no harm done. But girls like Whitney Osuigwe took both of them out last week... other girls are good enough to do it this week as well.

The other 30 girls are equally bad or worse. I pointed out there are no South American claycourters here who would spice up the field and actually help reduce the chances of hoggers like Brengle or Townsend. They are too good for ITFs only because there is too little actual competition in these draws.

That said Juvan gets an F for losing to Brengle last week, while being one of the few capable claycourters at these tourneys.

So happy for Jen
She was down 3-6 1-5 to win it 7-5 10-6 in the end against an upcoming player. Maybe this win was what she needed to get going again. Probably playing against Day for a spot in the MD.

TT Rankings
Singles: 10
Doubles: 47

Seems like you are just mad for no reason, and for that, I can not help you. Mad because there is no competition at ITF level?? Ok..... Don't watch I guess.....
Many in the draw use ITF's as a stepping stone to bigger and better things.... for instance Osuigwe and Juvan. Until they get to WTA level.

Nice to see Ann Li with a WC, she has been slowly rising in the ranks and won an ITF $25K last week.

This is really crazy that they couldn't fill a $100K qualie draw...even girls with no ranking were getting in
