uggghhh...I wanted Ryoko to win this. I like to see this wild card going to young players, not players like Na Li who is able to play qualifying and will no doubt reach the top 100 very soon.
Now though, I hope Na just wins it.

Go Ai, Venus, Na, Tamarine!

This is the final I would have predicted. What a great opportunity for one of these girls. Hope they both play their best in the final!

NA LI (CHINA ) BT SANIA MIRZA (INDIA) 6-2, 6-1

TOTAL MATCH TIME: 55 MINUTES.

POST MATCH REAX:
SANIA: "She played out of her mind...She never allowed me to play my game. It's very difficult to read where she's going to hit. I never expected her to play so well. She played a great match"

NA LI: "I know Sania's in great form but its my job to play to win. I can't be bothered by how well or badly my opponent is playing. I have to keep playing better every match. I just went out there and did everything I had to. I had played a patchy semifinal so I was even more keen to wrap this one up quickly."

well done Na!

very happy for her, hopefully she will take her Australian Open WC and put it to good use

"Religion has actually convinced people that there is an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. Any if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!

But he loves you."

Wow, some great words from both players. Wow, I remember being upset a few years ago when she called it quits, but now she seems to be be back in every way! Good luck Na Li. Too bad for Sania. Some good money for both players I assume.

Wow, the words Li said, it's like she's a tennis killing machine. Can't wait to see how she does at the Australian Open, playing with the big girls.
