The Riviera events are now minor affairs except for Monte Carlo, but “Jaja’s” feat of making Riviera finals 25 years after she first came to the Cote D’Azure in 1932is still mighty impressive.

Russians disappointed at home in this "international" event, with invited French and Swedes staying away. 2 out of 10 women were Czechs, and it was those two women who figured in all 3 finals of singles, doubles, and mixed.
Every day the club was full to its 1,200 capacity.
