Re: What tennis racquet do u use?

A racquet (or racket) is a sports implement consisting of a handled frame with an open hoop across which a network of cord is stretched tightly. It is used for striking a ball in such games as squash, tennis, racquetball, and badminton. Collectively, these games are known as racquet sports.

The frame of racquets for all sports was traditionally made of laminated wood and the strings of animal intestine known as gut; cat gut was most commonly used. The traditional racquet size was limited by the strength and weight of the wooden frame which had to be strong enough to hold the strings and stiff enough to hit the ball or shuttle. Manufacturers started adding non-wood laminates to wood racquets to improve stiffness. Non-wood racquets were made first of steel, then of aluminium, and then carbon fiber composites. Wood is still used for real tennis, racquets, and xare. Most racquets are now made of composite materials including carbon fibre, fiberglass, metals such as titanium alloys or ceramics.

Gut has partially been replaced by synthetic materials including nylon, polyamide, and other polymers. Racquets are restrung when necessary, which may be after every match for a professional or never for a social player.

Re: What tennis racquet do u use?

I use the Wilson ProStaff 6.0 Original (midplus).
It is no longer made so I buy from ebay when I need a new one.
It is a very headlight racquet, so I have to generate a lot of the power myself. It is a bit heavy too, requiring a full swing to produce a good shot. I love the racquet on groundtrokes and volleys and first serve. It's alright on the 2nd serve but I have to really swing to get moderate kick on the second serve.

I use wilson extreme synthetic gut 16g string, Black. I like the black string, black racquet look.

Re: What tennis racquet do u use?

I use the Wilson [K] Factor Six-One Team or something like that. It's ok, but recently after playing with other people's rackets I have realised how bad it is for me. It is way too light so I need to get a heavier racket because I can easily produce my own power and the control just isn't there. Especially when playing with big banger strings.

Re: What tennis racquet do u use?

I've always played with Babolat's Pure Drive. I had Pure Drives, then Pure Drive Cortexs and had Pure Drive GTs and I was always succesful at mindless ballbashing, Now I decided to switch and now im using Head Flexpoint's Instinct. Is like my PD but now I have control. LOVING IT! But it takes time to make the adjustment. and I had to suffer to get 3 of them becayse they're almost dissapeared.

Re: What tennis racquet do u use?

The wilson Kfactor Ktour! (the one Henin used before she retired) with babolat prohurricane tour 16.
But I want to change but can't decide between: Wilson Pro Tour BLX, Babolat aero prodrive GT (Nadal), Babolat pure storm GT (stosur and Gonzalez) or the yonex RQiS 2 (the one Kirilenko is using).

Can someone give some good advice
MayB some info will help XD

I'm an agressive baseliner but I like to go to the net to finish off the points. My favourite shots are the serve and the backhand. I use a lot of spin on my forehand but flatten out my backhand. Plus I use the slice from time to time
