, do you remember Polish great Anna Rechnio? I believe she finished 2nd in the short program at 98 Worlds!
She was a powerhouse. Huge jumps, great presentation. But unfortunately, she was too inconsistent.
She was a stunning beauty as well!
Yeah, I remember her. She managed to finish 5th & 6th at the World Champs while her best result at the Europeans was 7th
She was the youngest member of the Polish 1994 Olympics squad and finished a staggering 10th. Sadly she was a mental headcase. She completely bombed at the Nagano Games and then retired from the sport after a lowly 16th at the 2000 Worlds. She currently lives in Denmark with her Russian ex-skater husband.
Just back on Kurakova, obviously she has a private sponsor to meet the Orser training demands. Our Federation doesn't have any money to provide such opportunity
