Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 3
Peer was defintely Caro's toughest opponent so far (even though she lost more games against Wozniak). Fortunately Caro also played the best tennis I've seen her play this year. She moved her opponent around well on many points, forcing errors. I'm particularly happy about Caro's steady serve, solid net play and perfect BP convertion.
Na next. Na won in Sydney because Caro made a boatload of uncharacteristic errors. But that was Caro's first, rusty match of the season. Now she's on a roll and even though her haters will never acknowledge it she has actually added some offensive weapons to her arsenal. She'll probably start out trying to outsteady her opponent, but if Na has a good day Caro will have to mix up her game. She was unable to do that against a suddenly strong Dokic last year, but I think she has learned it now. And judging from Na's last two matches she's not very consistent right now. Also, if this match goes to three sets Na may be just a tad weary after her two long matches, giving Caro an edge because of her easier wins.
Caro is a 60-40 favorite in my book.

Madison Brengle: "I'd rather chew on a pinecone than play this match (against Wozniacki)."
Nicole Melichar: "Do you want me to go find you one?"
Nicole Melichar: "I'm really happy I don't have to play against her (Wozniacki)."
Madison Brengle: "Oh, thank you, that makes me feel so much better."
