They have changed I think, now reads :-

Arthur Ashe Stadium

21:00 Start Women's Singles - Finals
Caroline Wozniacki(DEN)[9] vs. Kim Clijsters(BEL)

I think it's fun to see so many of the old crew show up, Caroline should get into GS Finals more often.

I really wish Caro's semi had been played in front of a full crowd and televised live. It just seems like Caro was pretty short changed on such a big occasion.

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 3

Both the WTA and USO sites have picked Clijsters as tonight's winner (so have I for that matter ) but I really don't think Caro minds the role of underdog.

Luxembourg 2016 & Auckland 2018
Madison Brengle: "I'd rather chew on a pinecone than play this match (against Wozniacki)."
Nicole Melichar: "Do you want me to go find you one?"

Nicole Melichar: "I'm really happy I don't have to play against her (Wozniacki)."
Madison Brengle: "Oh, thank you, that makes me feel so much better."

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 3

Even with a loss tonight Caro will reach No. 3 or 4 in the Race List with her so far 1400 points won from the SF. She's has about 2200 points more than the No. 8 player, so ithink she's 99% sure in Doha, as so many players can't all win the next 3 bigger Tournaments and get the 2200 points they needs. We will see when the new Race List come out tomorrow...

1 Safina, Dinara RUS 7492 15 160
2 Williams, Serena USA 7437 15 900
3 Wozniacki, Caroline DEN 5640 20 1400

4 Dementieva, Elena RUS 5325 16 100
5 Kuznetsova, Svetlana RUS 4493 15 280
6 Williams, Venus USA 4036 13 280
7 Azarenka, Victoria BLR 4011 13 160
8 Zvonareva, Vera RUS 3302 16 280
9 Pennetta, Flavia ITA 3120 20 500
10 Jankovic, Jelena SRB 3011 15 100
11 Stosur, Samantha AUS 2533 16 100
12 Bartoli, Marion FRA 2491 19 100
13 Radwanska, Agnieszka POL 2360 18 100
14 Razzano, Virginie FRA 2297 18 5
15 Ivanovic, Ana SRB 2061 13 5
16 Mauresmo, Amelie FRA 1977 12 100

New List, not all points added.

Points from TPPO, China and Moscow = 2270

OOps should have checked it,Sorry.

€Sport said this evening that they had shown the semi 6:30 this morning. How the hell should they think we could know that, They said nothing last night, otherwise I would have set the VHS on timer.

True and predictions are just that, predictions. Whoever is to hold that trophy up has to make it happen on the court and I think Caro has a real chance.

Why do you compare her points to number 8? It's number 9 you should compare it to, as number 8 will also make the cut.

But doesn't Jankovic and Dementieva have to lost points ?? I'm suprised she would be only 6 if she looses !!

Caroline definitively has to take example on Roddick at Wimbly no one was giving him a chance and foretime he made that match an epic !

Caroline has to fight as hard as she can and more again cuz she's the BIG underdog and you never know what can happen with pressure

Genie - Victoria - Kristina.

I thought this was a great match from Caro! Not necessarily great play, but a great match. She played so well in the first set, she controlled the match until 5-4. Then even after losing the first set, she stayed positive and calm, believed in herself. It's impressive that she wasn't nervous in her first slam final ever. I'm truly impressed!

I hate that Caro and Kim had to play each other. I was too nervous for both players. Anyone who has been in this situation knows how much it sucks!

I think we can be really proud of Caro! I'm sure she's proud of herself.

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 3

I think Caro played REALLY well considering everything. She upped her aggression like she had to if she wanted to win - which shows me she wasn't going out there to simply play her game and hope for the best. She knew she had to do more to beat Kim, and she certainly tried her best to do that. Very encouraging sign, that when it counts, Caro can take it up a notch.

She got a little too loose to start the second, which cost her, but overall a very nice performance from Caro and she should be proud.

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 3

Ok now that she gone this far in a gs, please dont expect her to go deep every slam from now on. I surely hope she will but its not a given and the draw really turned out to be very favourable for Caro this time.
