Question Best player with the worst technique or under-developed game?

Something random I thought about. But who is the best/most successful player with the worst technique on their strokes or strokes that were just under-developed and they made the best of what they had and never fully developed them.

Strokes = forehand, backhand, serve, slice, volley etc.

I'm not interested in them just having one ugly stroke. We could name half the tour.

Has to be Wozniacki for sure. Her forehand is dreadful and even her backhand which is considered "good" lacks the real punchig power if you know what I mean (take a look at the Azarenka backhand).
Runner up has got to be Niculescu obviously.

I agree with Petkovic, her FH/BH/serve are very ugly motions.. ofcourse the outcome of the shots are actually pretty effective

Re: Best player with the worst technique or under-developed game?

Oh look another Wozniacki thread.

I am not a fan of the direction a lot of Maria threads have taken over the last 12 months.
The undertone is very disappointing, aggressive and the comments are sometimes rude to a player just trying to earn a living, playing her hardest and having a good amount of success given her god given, natural talents.
You made the list: NEW President Bouchard, Cibulkova, Mladenovic, Wozniacki, Kerber, Cornet, Watson, Broady.
Please note this is a signature about Tatjana Maria

If you're talking about technique Azarenka's is a strange one to pick. It's 'unique' to say the least!

Nothing wrong with Aga's BH, it has one of the best techniques on tour.

Vera Zvonareva * Ana Ivanović * Li Na * Laura Robson ......

Re: Best player with the worst technique or under-developed game?

I think the idea of "one technique fits all" is a big detriment to the game advancing.
