LOL Mattek Sands :happy: She has gone from 370 in 2018 to 369 in 2019 up to now. Impressive comeback
These nominations are ridiculous. Bencic here and in improved makes no sense.
Kuznetsova had literally ONE good tournament.

Belinda was nominated for Best comeback last year too, she just keeps coming back.

This America bias in candidates selections is annoying.
Even Arantxa Rus would deserve a nomination over BMS after just breaking the ITF titles record.
Or Misaki Doi who got back into a WTA final after years of slumping.

Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic has won the WTA Comeback Player of the Year award, which is given to the player whose ranking dropped due to injury or personal circumstances.
She took 80% of the vote, which was decided by the media.
