Re: So who's going to retire in 2020?

Strycova and Minella for sure Both said so.
Minella said Luxemburg will be the last tournament of her career.
Also Grönefeld could retire in 2020 or even after this season. She was not sure.

Re: So who's going to retire in 2020?

Maybe

Sharapova
Cibulkova
Wozniacki
Zvonareva
Rodina
Kanepi
Errani
Niculescu
Mattek-Sands
Hradecka
Karatantcheva
Lucic
Jankovic
Paszek
Konjuh
Bellis
Krajicek

Serena is 38, but she will continue (and play at least the Grand Slams).
Venus (39 yo) will only retire when Serena retires, so forget it.

Wozniacki, Sharapova, Cibulkova and Kerber would not shock me.

Re: So who's going to retire in 2020?

Azarenka, her comeback was a total flop from the beginning and she´s not suited for this tour anymore, not even gaining weight helped this time.

Rybáriková is another candidte, she fell too low lately

Venus will retire but only if she can´t make a 2nd round the whole year, she doesn´t care about tarnishing her legacy

Serena will play many decades more as she said that

Sharapova will also retire, she looks so done, best thing she did this year was beating Wozniacki in Australia

Henin, Kerber, Hingis, Plíšková, Federer, Thiem

Stosur won't retire next year, but she will in 2021 right here in Australia.

Venus Williams will retire...she was a mess in 2018 and 2019. Sharapova is definitely not going anywhere...unless she wants to...she is only competing because she wants and still can win another slam and wants to compete in one more Olympics after the 2016 incident and she WILL be Russia's top player no matter her rank. Maybe Muchova as well will carry Russia's Olympic hopes. Caro seems to have lost that passion to win so she might be done next year but the Olympics seem like the final push for many of them. As I said, Venus probably won't even make the cut for the Olympics. Sad as that is, Kenin and Anisimova have arrived and Venus is left in the dust.

Re: So who's going to retire in 2020?

Stosur could retire from singles (she is 100plus now)- but she is having a good run in doubles.
If she helps win the Fed Cup tomorrow that will be a big tick off the bucket list.

You said you want to be mother, will it happen soon?

I would not like to become mother at old age. This year I'm getting 31 y.o. and I would love to soon, I do not know if next year will be last, or 2021.
But I won't play much longer as I got the goal to be mother sooner than latter. It will come by itself, but once I'm, I'm not coming back to tennis.
