Maybe Karolina Pliskova should keep Conchita and add a mental coach (for the Slams).
A mental coach could help Karolina to be mentally strong, focused and play her best at the Slams.
Karolina had a strong start of the year, winning Brisbane and reaching Aus Open SF.
And then peaked at some WTA tournaments this year (Miami final, Rome title, Eastbourne title).
BUT Karolina flopped at the past 3 Grand Slams this year
She should never have lost at the Grand Slams this year to Muchova, Konta and Martic
Bad and disappointing losses. These were winnable matches for Karolina and not unbeatable opponents. Even against Osaka at Aus Open she was close and had chances to win.
Quite disappointing rest of the year after the heartbreaking Wimbledon loss (6-4 5-7 11-13)
Her bad and slow movement is a HUGE problem for Karolina
Barty, Andreescu, Osaka, Svitolina, Halep, Bencic, Serena, Kenin, Yastremska (and many other WTA players) move so much better and faster. And that is a HUGE problem and disadvantage for Karolina on her way to the dream Grand Slam title.
Karolina must improve her footwork/movement, needs more speed. Hard to improve for the tall player Karolina. But she musty try it.
And as was mentioned before, Karolina must make her SERVE great again !
I mean Barty, Serena, Osaka, Svitolina, Konta and so on peak on serve. Actually the serve is a big reason for Barty´s success. So Karolina must also peak on serve (in the Slams) !
Karolina needs to serve at her best and must move better/faster.
If she stays mentally weak at the Slams, her serve is off and she keeps moving slow, then she will stay a slamless #1.
Karolina knows that slowly her time is running out and the window of opportunity to win a Grand Slam (obviously THE goal of the rest of her career) is closing slowly. I hope Karo will win a Grand Slam like Caroline Wozniacki did - when most people had given up the hope on her ! She is a great player and deserves it.
