Jelena not getting broken in Set 2. Good win for her. Her end of the year has at least shown some signs of improvement. She will face Elise next. Could be a great one, if she is up for it and not too tired.

Caty No win in Singles for her in this mini European swing. But good for the experience nonetheless!
jimbo mack and palttoonnappi like this.

Rest in Peace Bally!

Just seen the schedule for tomorrow, hope that doesn't come back to screw Jelena. Finished after 10.30pm local, and due back on tomorrow at 2.30pm - hopefully some of the prior matches on Centre go longer, as that's one tight turnaround. I know there's links with Luxembourg and Germany so the likes of Petkovic and Julia were likely to be on the prime slots, but the #1 seed vs the only grand slam champ in the entire field surely wouldn't have been a bad choice for an evening match?

Always thought she was in control here, even when facing set point in the second set, which is rare for this version. Hopefully she can get another win tomorrow.

I was very surprised by that too especially Petkovic vs Lottner as the prime match even though I like both seems a bit random. Luckily they have scheduled Elise vs Jelena not before 4 PM so hopefully that gives Jelena enough recovery time.

Jel-Os racking up a nice number of wins during the Linz / Luxembourg fortnight. I hope she wins against Mertens.

Ah, that's slightly better. I typed in Ostapenko into Google and it came up with 1.30pm, which is 2.30pm local, but if that's a mistake and it is NB 4pm (not doubting you ) then not too bad. Definitely the main match I'm looking forward to (in Lux) tomorrow.
