Vulture Alert: Is Bouchard Vulturing the Poitiers ITF Qualies?

On the ITF calendar, Bouchard is scheduled to play in the Poitiers ITF - Qualies - on October 21.
Do the TF members consider this to be vulturing by the former #5 in the world playing in an ITF Qualies event?

Will the former #5 , smash and slash her way thru the qualies filled with lower ranked players?
Oh, wait a minute, Bouchard at #151 is also a lower ranked player.
Of course, she might always get a wild card into the main.

Bouchard is also scheduled to play in the Luxembourg WTA qualies on October 14.

(Actually, I think these are good moves for Bourhard)

How is it vulturing when your ranking is that bad you need to play Q at such an event? Just because you were a hyped player 5 years ago and are a wannabe swimsuit model you are not something special. This is more honest than farming WCs a t least tbh.

Anything Bouchard can do to get her 2014 form back is okay. Imagine the Fed Cup team if she's good again

This isn't vulturing. This is the level she is at.

While she’ll never be the player that Andreescu is, she can still get back to a Giorgi type level of tennis...

Who cares what she is playing; if she still has some fire to play, she needs to start getting some wins...

It is what her rank allows her to do, so how is it vulturing?
It is not like it is the first ITF event she plays this year and we have all seen how that went ....

Hantuchova

YASTREMSKA. Muguruza. Ostapenko. Osaka. Bencic. Sabalenka. Anisimova. Barty.

Actually respect her more for doing this. One do the big criticisms of her back in the day when she was semi relevant was how big that ego was getting. There is a part of me that thinks more of her for having the humility to play at her current level of low level qualies instead of getting turned over after another wild card.

Spare me the horror. Bouchard may have put her foot in the mouth from time to time at her peak but she has always held impeccable manners on court. Never fighting with judges, linesmen, or showing frustration or cussing or anything of the sort. Besides, she has the most self-deprecating sense of humour on tour. She knows how to laugh at her own expense while others are busy narrating their cliched lines while pretending to be so original and profound.

Oh wow look another Eugenie hate thread what a surprise. Y’all really bring up the most pointless stuff to talk shit about her when she hasn’t done anything since 2017. It’s been two plus years. Move on.

If someone really wants a vulture thread, look the way of Kiki Bertens. She has already played 23 tournaments this year already. Linz is already her 5th Mickey Mouse. She even played at Palermo.

It’s her 3rd MM of the season.
And leave Kiki out of this. She plays a lot yeah, but also delivers quality and actually goes deep in tournaments

Krajicek Bertens Wickmayer Jankovic Kerber Svitolina Hogenkamp de Vroome Flipkens Kerkhove Burger Rus Rezai Bacsinszky / Lena D. missing you

23 tournaments is peak vulturing. In as many as 10 tournaments she got out in the second round or before.

Leave her alone! It's getting really old now. Most scrubs don't achieve what she did in one season in their whole career.

Not true. I watched the semi-final in Gstaad last year against Alize Cornet, where she eventually retired early in the second set, and her language went way beyond what was acceptable. She was obviously hurting pretty much all the way through the match, and that came over clearly in the on-court coaching. In the last bit she let rip with something along the lines of "I don't fucking want to be here" and "it hurts too fucking much to carry on." I was more than a bit surprised because I, too, had alway previously thought of her as one of the better-behaved starlets on tour.
