Re: TF Lexicon

Ballbasher = A player that hits the ball harder than your fave
Fall Cometh = A player losing two matches in a row
Journeywoman = A player able to stay in the top 50 for longer than your fave, while having a lower career high ranking
Moonballer = A player that mixes up her shots
Pusher = A player not hitting the ball 100% flat every time
Scrub = A player that just lost a match to anyone ranked lower than her. Note: No. 1 ranked players get called a scrub after every loss

Re: TF Lexicon

I'm not sure if "bakery products" is special to TF as a derogatory term. Otherwise I'll include it.

Who cares of hypertrophic weapons when the player on the court moves like music?

routine: to defeat one's opponent in 2 sets, regardless of the number of games won by the losing player

fake MTO: a situtation that occurs everytime a player on the losing side takes a medical timeout

obnoxious: not extremely modest or sympathetic

Re: TF Lexicon

mother - comes with special privileges (for a select few)

do a Cicak - note to player: always keep a firm eye on the umpire

basic - see Svitolina

peaking too early - bringing your best before the most important tournaments

strategic tank - deliberately play poorly in one tournament to save yourself for important tournaments. Ironically, often overlaps with "peaking too early", see Pliskova 2019.

unmotivated - see Sloane Stephens

random peaking - Halep Wimbledon 2019 final; alternatively only plays well in one match but sucks the other times. See Ostapenko vs Pliskova 2019.

peaking for just one tournament - means what it says.

allergic to net - Halep

wasted/undeserved WC - see Bouchard and Sharapova

too fat to play tennis - see Townsend

too skinny to play tennis - see Svitolina (traditionally meant for Hantuchova)

QF is enough - standard milestone, also see Svitolina at slams before 2019.

brainless ballbasher - when ballbashing is not enough

choke artist - a serial choker, who makes it look like an art. See McFail.

improved choker - doesn't quite choke as much as they used to. See Riske.

bot - Pliskova

eviscerated - demolished, ripped to pieces.

Whilst I have no problem with match point, set point and tie-break, what's NID? Not in denial? New in dahood? Never in doubt?
