Re: Seoul SF: Muchova(3) def Wang(8) 7-6(5) 6-4
Yep, just caught up, very good first set from both, and Muchova did vary well to turn the first set around from 3-5. I thought she might have blown it when she let the lead slip in the second, but composed herself to serve it out at the second time.
She is fast becoming one of my favourite players to watch and I'd consider her a top 20 player in all but ranking - it usually takes a very good player to beat her. It's also interesting to note that at 28/1 she's the 12th favourite to win Wuhan, that's shorter than Bertens (33/1) and Wang (40/1) who both have byes, and the likes of Vekic, Sevastova (40 and 50/1) etc. who are in and around the top 20. I don't think she will win it, or come anywhere near to, because she will have already played Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun. Then Bouzkova on Mon, Wang on Tue, potential L16 on Wed, QF on Thu, SF on Fri and final on Sat, so that would literally be 10 matches in 10 days, which isn't going to happen (she may even withdraw, or ease off against Bouzkova if they are friends), but does kind of show that she is underranked at circa 37-42 (depending if she wins Seoul).
