Osaka R1: Flink d. Hibino 6:4 7:5

Varvara not the best quality but it was enough for a basic player like Hibino

Routined just after a title win

Maybe she shouldn't have played so soon after.

Back to earth for Hibino. Really, though this match won't hurt her. It's tough to come right back after a tournament win.

Habino looked exhausted out there, match was delayed only because Flink was nervous serving for it.

Misaki Doi played in the same Final ( and WON the doubles with Hibino) and she played today and beat a top 50 player. No excuses really, it's just a bad showing from Nao, in the biggest Japanese event against a player ranked outside the top 140.

What the Flink?

.

Dayana Yastremska, Félix Auger-Aliassime, Fedex, The Stanimal, Naomi Osaka, The Dog Dolgopolov, Petr Korda, The Borg, Ana Ivanovic

and, of course, her majesty, la reine

Mladenovic was sick, would have lost to anyone in the #1000, get a grip.

Hibino was probably tired and the result may have been the same regardless but let’s not pretend Flink hasn’t lost to a ton of basics all year

"Religion has actually convinced people that there is an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. Any if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!

But he loves you."

Nao won singles and doubles last week. Cloud 9 hangover this week.
