Angelique Kerber: The Fall Cometh

Is it over for Kerber? Today's performance was shameful, she looked like she didn't even care. Kontaveit would hit a DTL shot and Kerber would instantly just turn away for the next point; not even attempting to go for it. She's almost 32 years old now and has an extremely taxing game on the body, can you really see her doing much else from now on? Or will she retire by the end of the year, or perhaps after the Olympics in 2020?

Re: Angelique Kerber: The Fall Cometh

Kerber has at the very best a 2 year window to win another slam if not she will never win another.

Re: Angelique Kerber: The Fall Cometh

She definitely did not seem motivated nor was enjoying herself out there.

Winning 3 grand slams might have fulfilled all her expectations; she just hasn't realized it or isn't admitting it to herself? Luckily for her, she is injury free!

However, it is necessary to consult me on all these matters (please call)”; “30 minutes prior to a training session: Mildronat – 1 Capsule. 30-45 minutes prior to a tournament Mildronat 2 capsules”.

Angie is not a Fall Cometh. She's still trapped in the Drama Kingdom, under the spell of the Drama Queen.
She still can get over it, but it's only in her powers to free herself.

Re: Angelique Kerber: The Fall Cometh

I will never undestand these types of threads, especially in these particular times. One may struggle to gather wins at one week, and at the next one she will go on a winning streak.

Not much point in those threads, but whatever makes OP happy.

Re: Angelique Kerber: The Fall Cometh

If this is to be it, well she had a great run, one that could have been even better with her qualities, had she fixed her game and improved her fitness earlier in her career. Also the whole Tier 1 thing, still hope she'll cross it off soon, but not going to lie, I'm losing hope with each one that passes her by. At this point she has maybe 20-30 shots at it, and that's if she stays healthy. This year will be best forgotten, so maybe 2020 will be better, if not... oh well, it was a good run and she'll always have 2016. 99% of players dream their whole life and most put in just as much work never to get anywhere close to what she has achieved.

Winning another Slam, ok, but she should really try her best to win a P5/PM because finishing her career without one after like a hundred tries is a big stain on her resume.

Doubt it. Only avid fans care about that.

She will fall if she can’t win PM/P5.

What have you done, now it's all but confirmed that she wins another slam

Can you open one for Simona too please, since your predictions are eventually proven to be so comically wrong.
