Lausanne R2 : Tamara Korpatsch def Potapova 6-3 3-6 6-1

Still undecided on Potato.

Is she extremely overrated ? Is she basic?

I don't have the answers yet.

Kerber didn't show up at RG, that win doesn't count.

To me I don't see huge things for potapova, I think she'll have a solid top 30 career with a few deep runs here and there.
But who knows she's very young and seems hungry for success so only time will tell.
This win for Tamara makes genies loss seem less dire now though

Doesn´t matter. So many players supported by Rittner are far away from Korpatsch´s ranking.

Carina Witthöft / Mona Barthel / Andrea Petkovic / Angelique Kerber / Anna-Lena Friedsam / Tamara Korpatsch / Mandy Minella

maybe the best what Rittner can do for your career is not to be involved!

I don't have the answers yet.

Kerber didn't show up at RG, that win doesn't count.
She never been the most talented player of this generation but she was able to win a lot that means something. Her qualities are her mental strength and her competitive spirit, she is able to bring her best against the best on the big stage. This year her best matches were against Keys, Sevastova, Kerber and Martic.

She's struggling when she's the favorite, she's lacking consistency on her game with her erratic serve and her poor forehand technique.

She will reach her best ranking next week around the 65th spot before losing the Moscow final points and she didn't have a peak week since she started on the tour.

Unlike other girls who had these weeks where they are in the zone, she digged deep and fought to built her rankings despite her lack of confidence. Her last title was at Curitiba 25K against Anismova in February 2017.

You can't bury her because of that, she will fight and work hard to find her way but it will be the hard way .

Korpatsch is pretty talented claycourter WHEN she wants to play. Otherwise, she could suck big like Maria. Maria is also like her, good or miserable.

I’m not impressed with her, she’s the definition of a brainless ball basher.

I’m assuming Masha is her idol, as it’s like she based her entire game and look on her, down to the dangly earrings. Maybe she’ll prove me wrong but her game just now is very one-dimensional.

This was an astronomical event with moon balls everywhere.
Someone must have invented a time machine, as this match took tennis back to the 1960
