Yup. Navratilova had a better career than anyone else.

Because you know, at the end of the day, who wins the most number of Wimbledons has the best career. Wimbledon is the oldest and most prestigious title. Hence it's called The Championships. Steffi Graf, Margaret Court, neither of them can compare to Navratilova who won 9 Wimbledons. Agree?

This is great for Naomi, Kiki, and Al Nabhani (who should really be contesting club matches against Alexandra Stevenson), so everybody wins!
Mladenovic wins 63 63

Who has the best career isn't necessarily the best player. Success depends on talent, hard work, luck.

No.

As a side note to the general audience, if you're tired to stupid threads like this, I've made a request so we can ignore both users and threads.

That "prestigious" crap is totally arbitrary.

Wimbledon is no more difficult to win than any other slam... In fact it's the most fluke-prone, as it's on the surface that is least played on, there is less preparation tournaments etc... PRomotes "specialised" players also...

If I had to pick most objective criteria of greatness, it would be weeks at #1 (don't even know who has the most), because it's 52 weeks sample size, not 2 weeks sample size...

I'm alaways right, even when Im wrong...

Only problem with this is is that this troll opens match-threads as well.

Re: Yup. Navratilova had a better career than anyone else.

Well since Martina is the only one of all comparable players to leave family and home and asked for political asylum she had a terrific career. This fact is overlooked so easily by todays fans.
A player who had to earn her money in tournaments explains why she has won so many tournaments in singles and doubles also the normal tournaments.

That is why people all around the world know her even when there was no social media, have seen her some place, she always gave her best hardly any withdrawal through injury or fake injury not tanking. Do not you think tennis fans all over the world want to see the big names not only in grand slams.

Certainly better than Stuffy.

"Sometimes we've wondered if Martina actually knew what she was saying. Maybe it was her age or inexperience or something got lost in the translation. But I don't know. She comes out with something astounding and then just stares at you like, 'What did I say?' But then she'll have that glint in her eye."

Re: Yup. Navratilova had a better career than anyone else.

So according to this take Bartoli had a better career than Henin, Seles or Mandlikova.

You can troll way better than this, I suppose. I want to believe you can be a better troll.

Re: Yup. Navratilova had a better career than anyone else.

Most people agree that she is the most talented player ever.

Serena won more slams but Navratilova won more tournaments overall. Don't forget about all the doubles titles as well. She also won a Grand Slam title at her very last tournament a few weeks before her 50th birthday. Still it is tough to compare all the stats & figures. Navratilova, Serena & Grad belong to the very top for different reasons.

Most peolpe tend to forget that she started her career with wooden rackets in a complete different ear and ended up playing Williams & Co.
At least in doubles.
Btw: The very first tournament Venus Williams played was also the second last of Navratilova's (first) career (Oakland 1994).
