Happy for Romina She looked pretty gassed though despite this being a routine win. I can see her being outplayed quickly by an opponent who can find the court more.
I saw In-Albon play two times so far. Today and against Perrin in Cagnes-sur-Mer. Both times she has been really horrible. I thought this is her best surface?
She won a 60K on hard court earlier this year.
She is still adapting to the slices and dices that are not quite as common on the juniors tour and definitely a lot more effective on clay.
Also it was Ylena's first Grand Slam appearance, so definitely a big case of the nerves for her. She will find her place.
As for Romy, I am just 100% pleased to see her back!
Romina has probably been watching tennis on TV a bit this year and seeing how many players are winning points these days using the dropshot. She must have thought to herself, if all these girls are able to be winning points with dropshots it is going to be an absolute cinch for me.
