Dominant display. This match was even better than first one. 2 lopsided wins in a day! i Hope she keeps her improvement.
match stats
88% first serve won
61% second serve points won. 27 winners 15 erros
4 out of 9 bps won and lost one serve game
Athough bertens is favourite but if naomi plays like this, she can cause upset..
You should tone it down a bit, unless you want to end like TennisFed and have a giant meltdown when/if she loses next <img src="https://www.tennisforum.com/images/smilies/oh.gif" border="0" alt="" title="oh" class="inlineimg" /> Winning 6-3 against Buzarnescu is not being unplayable. But she looked good, I agree, at least to the extent that the super slump our favorite TF experts were predicting is not happening. I wonder what would have happened if she could have closed it out against Bencic last week. I didn't think so after she lost, but seeing the way Halep is playing and how frustrated she is at every little adversity, she would have had a chance.
I also thought she was kinda unplayable in that 1st set. Maybe she should have been more clutch on BPs though but the 6-3 scoreline won't tell you the whole story.

But i am happy that she is growing as a player. Tomorrow against bertens we will see her actual clay level bcoz bertens is amazing on clay. So i just hope she performs well even if she doesnt win. I am happy with clay swing overall compared to hard court swing but i think adjusting with new coach is also d reason. Last loss was terrible and one of the worst chokes i have ever seen

Naomi performs at the slams. She’ll do great at RG. Might not win but should make it AT LEAST to QF if not further.

That's the reason I had such a "Meltdown" after she lost + she played by many Tennis Commies her best Match ever on Clay against Bencic Particularly on that fast Madrid Court she would have had a chance beating Halep. Usually I didn't want to come back here until HC so this Post might be an exception.

Let's look whom she defeated this Clay Season thus far:
Hsieh & Vekic at Stuttgart
Cibulkova, Sorribes Tormo and Sasnovich at Madrid
Cibulkova & Buzarnescu at Rome

These are solid WINS but not spectacular wins.

She needs a GOOD WIN against a Top Clayer like Bertens otherwise it's all smoke for RG.
Bertens had to play 6 Sets today while Osaka had to play 4. If she can't beat a tired Kiki who also coming from a exhausting Madrid Tournament I don't know when she can beat Top Clay Courter.

Osaka/Bertens Friday! They could be in a #1 battle in Paris

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter....
Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there
Enjoy This Moment!!
HEALTH and HAPPINESS to EVERYONE
