she's their third top junior. Assuming maybe she got one since Burel is injured as their way to reward their "two top juniors" unsure

France is one of the 4 HISTORICAL tennis country to have a SLAM. Live with it and stop with the "oh my God this one would have deserved one! what a scandal! apocalypse is for tomorrow!"

VERY HAPPY for our young prospects who also NEED R1 MONEY to work in order to have a professional career TOO!
yes Alize Lim is so young and talented girl

Only heard of Lauren Davis. The others just show how deteriorating French tennis is.

Re: Roland Garros Wild cards announced

I get Parry. She beat Fett in Q last year, playing clever tennis, at 15. But Janicijevic is way too young and has little to no experience at the pro level (and that choice feels quite weird when on the men's side, they prefer to give a WC to old and useless Mahut while Hugo Gaston who's made very nice pro debut the last few week is not MDWC).

Albie, Paquet and Ponchet are obvious choices. So is Tan who's having quite a solid season.

As for QWC, at some point, some players just won't make it, no need to waste WCs on Georges, Lim and Andrianjafitrimo. It's over for them.

Re: Roland Garros Wild cards announced

There was a wildcard race this year for the French players. It's partly based on results in seven French ITF tournaments and partly the WTA Race as of Monday.

And this pdf has the final standings.

Re: Roland Garros Wild cards announced

Giving a player like JANICIJEVIC a MD-WC is actually what I would like to see more. Giving promising Juniors a chance to clash with a Top 100 player can be a career starter.

Who needs WCs for players trying for years?

I mean...

Is the Lim case total corruption from the FFT? Who's making money here? Should be investigated.

Re: Roland Garros Wild cards announced

Amandine Hesse is getting mad on Twitter But not even a QWC for her is a true bombshell as she's been FFT favorite for years
Janicijevic MDWC seems a bit premature, others are OK
And they mostly favored youngsters for QWCs which is a good sign
