What highlights/match are you watching right now?

So I'm an avid highlights viewer, but all my recommendations basically come from YouTube and I guess it's the same for everyone else. This can be a bit problematic because they tend to be quite repetitive, so it can be hard to discover new matches unless you search for particular players.

I think a thread in which we shared the highlights/matches that we are currently watching could be a solution to this problem, especially if they're good ones.

Currently watching:

She comes out with something astounding and then just stares at you like, 'What did I say?' But then she'll have that glint in her eye."

Schiavone - Kuznetsova. Never been a fan of either, but their matches were always great. How could you not love those?

Re: What highlights/match are you watching right now?

Safina/Sharapova in Paris. That was the "allez up your fucking ass" match, which Sharapova said at 2-2 in the 3rd. Maria had a match point on her serve and was up 5-2 in the 2nd set TB. For 7 points she was 2 points away, but only got to match point once and Dinara hit a down the line forehand and down the line backhand on consecutive shots. Very high risk down a match point. But both went in
When I get a chance I'm going to watch the Ivanovic/Sharapova "check her blood pressure" match, then Wozniacki/Fett & Wozniacki/Halep from AO 18.

Re: What highlights/match are you watching right now?

This thread is right now, and for me, its Safina/Sharapova
But I want to suggest a match I watched a few weeks aho. Serena/Graf IW 1999 Final
Serena was 17, Graf was 29
To tell you how tough the tour was, Graf had lost to Davenport, Seles, Hingis and Venus in the 4 events Graf played before losing to Serena at IW
The tour was strong then and this was 7-5 in the 3rd.

Hingis vs Kuznetsova Miami 2006

Unfortunate result for Martina but fabulous match nonetheless. Kuzzy, of course, went on to win the whole thing.

That one should've been Vee's first Wimbledon.

The last one I watched was Pierce/Graf 1994 RG. Incredible from Mary.

My last match was Maria vs. Vika in Paris. It was a really intense semifinal and a better time as a fan of these players...those highlights show my again and again how good both of them were back in the day.

LOL.

This match isn't even that old, but I enjoy watching highlights/footage of 'vintage' matches that happened before I was born. Really puts into perspective how much the game has changed. Here, Evert absolutely blew Austin's mind away with all those spins—kind of hilarious to watch. One of the greatest strategists the women's game has seen.
