No need to wait to play the final to make sure to win the 3rd consecutive slam.

Re: 1996 - 2002 age group - 1997's Generation Cheering- Future is coming

Month Review: Clay court season

32 tournaments played so far: 26 finalists including 14 titles. It's 27 tournaments and 21 finalists including 11 titles if you don't count WTA125 series.

The question was : are they going to continue the domination the had on hard court ?

Even if it wasn't as good than winning the 4 big titles on hard court, the answer is yes!

There were 10 tournaments on outdoor red clay(7MM280,1PM,1P5 and a Slam):

-7 finalist at the MM280 and 3 titles(Teichmann,Anisimova,Yastremska)
-1 Semi finalist at Madrid PM(Bencic) and 2 quarter finalist(Vondrousova/Osaka) at Rome P5
-They finished the clay season with style as we've got 3 Semi Finalist(Anisimova,Barty,Vondrousova), the runner up and Champion at the French Open.

They're also still dominating the H2H against Top10, the top 10 of this group are now all in the top 30 with 3 top 10 including the world number 1 and 2 and 5 players are in Shenzhen race top 10(Osaka, Barty, Bencic, Andreescu, Vondrousova).
And all those results with Andreescu being injuried during the clay season,2 former top 10(Kasatkina/Ostapenko) who are being big mess since the beggining of the year and Konjuh out of the court and still battling to come back .

In the same time Swiatek made her WTA breakthrough with a final at Lugano, her 1st 2nd week at a Slam and 1st top 20 win and she's now ranked in the top70 and will finally be able to play main draw on the tour as noone thought she deserved a WC, she had to build that by herself .

Kostyuk who reached her 1st WTA QF at Strasbourg combined with a W60 final this week is back on the Top 200 and Potapova who beat her 1st TOP10 (Kerber),both started to play better after some changes on their team.
Potapova is working with Iain Hughes(Svitolina/Bencic/Siniakova ) and Kostyuk was with Benjamin Ebrahimzadeh(Kerber) at Strasbourg.I don't know if they will work together or it just for the moment as she splits with her coach Dimitriy Brichek. Benjamin is part of the Mouratoglou team and Kostyuk practice at the academy in Nice so we will see in the next weeks.

Next is grass and it should be interesting as there are a lot of good grass players in this group and as they won the last 3 GS, Wimbledon will be a run for the YOUNGSTERS SLAM!

Month Review: Grass court season

38 tournaments played so far 30 finalists including 16 titles,it's 33 tournaments and 25 finalists including 13 titles if you don't count WTA125 series.

After the titles won at the USO and the OA by Osaka and the FO by Barty, they were going to a Youngster Slam but as history showed us experience matters at Wimbledon :

The best results was Muchova who reached the QF but more important some amazing grass court tennis.

3 others players reached the 4th round:

-Ash Barty, the new #1, reached at least the 4th round in the last 4 Slam
-2 members of the class 2000's reached their 1st second week at a slam:Yastremska and the story of this wimbledon Cori Gauff.

It still was a good grass season as for 6 tournaments played we had 4 finalists and 2 titles.
