Will be interesting to see if there are any temporary splits with an eye on Tokyo.
Strycova/Pliskova & Dabrowski/Andreescu both realistic medal prospects but how much do the dubs specialists want to risk their earnings with these new partnerships?
Andreescu can barely handle a singles schedule, she won't be playing doubles anytime soon. Dabrowski has already said her main goal is to stay inside the top 10 to make sure she has a guaranteed spot no matter what. She didn't like being at Bouchard's mercy in 2016. It would be stupid not to play with Bianca in Tokyo but she could pick Fichman.
She also has the option of teaming up with Félix or Denis in mixed doubles.
