Hope they win the final too.

"Sometimes we've wondered if Martina actually knew what she was saying. Maybe it was her age or inexperience or something got lost in the translation. But I don't know. She comes out with something astounding and then just stares at you like, 'What did I say?' But then she'll have that glint in her eye."

If Su-Wei/Babs win, Babs will be world nº 1, Su-Wei back into top 5, and the team nº 1 in the race!
bobito and Veesus Christ like this.

Impressive. Barbie has teamed up with a very good partner and she finally reaches a slam final.
They still haven't got this in the bag though.

I am so excited for them.
It would be wonderful to see Se Wei and Barbora lift the trophy tomorrow!

Excellent performance today from Strycova and Hsieh. Barb is probably player of the championships! How come the over 30s are having such success? Strycova in particular moved so well and got to everything. As Wimbledon 2019 has shown us, power doesn’t always win (unless your name is Serena) and Mladenovic and Babos hit pretty cleanly today but couldn’t put the ball away from the angry birds! Along with Ostapenko in the mixed, I had a nice afternoon of tennis watching (THEN turned over to Fedal!)

Ostapenko, Strycova, Hsieh - three of the most ... singular players on the WTA!

Fan of...
Petra Kvitova

Steffi Graf Justine Henin
Elena Dementieva Angelique Kerber Amelie Mauresmo
Simona Halep
Jelena Ostapenko Kiki Bertens Barbora Strycova Maria Sharapova

Rare occasion where I’ll be thrilled with whomever wins the final - great result for Hsieh and Barbie! Well deserved 😄

"Religion has actually convinced people that there is an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. Any if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!

But he loves you."

Doubles also in ruins, i have seen Dabrowski/Xu playing on few occasions and if they can reach Slam final oh well, cannot be as bad as Japanese duo that made the final last year in Paris
