Croatia reaches the final in a dream match!

Croatia wins the fed cup semifinal in the front of home crowd in Umag. This is a biggest suprise in the EWTA Tour this year because Russia was the last year finalist and in their team are playing current number 2, 5, 9 and Olympic champion in the singles rubbers and dream team between talented Chakvetadze and one of the best doubles players, Safina. Croatia doesn't have the player in the top 40 and for Croatia are currently playing, teenager Ajla Tomljanovic and Karolina Sprem. Ajla is one of the most talented players in the EWTA tour and Klina already showed her quality to beat the top players but she is not consistent. After first day 1-1 result, first on the court on the second day went Karolina Sprem and Maria Kirilenko. They already played previously this year and Klina won 6-4 6-3. Even of this match, Makiri was the big favorite. They are also very good friends and from this reason it was menatlly tough match for both. Makiri started to dominated and had the whole match in control. It was 6-4 5-3 for her but than Klina at once started to play so great tennis and made graet come back to match and just lose three games until the end of the match for win 4-6 7-5 6-3 in 2 hours and 53 minutes. Then young Ajla had all pressure on her. She played against Olympic champion and opponent who beat her already this year 5-7 6-3 7-6. Ajla was so close in that match and she played much better now and with great game won 7-5 6-4. Later, in doubles, already tiered Ajla and Klina lost to Chakvetadze and Safina 6-4 6-1. But finally result is 3-2 for Croatia and Croatia will play in the final against France which suprised last years winners, The Untied States 4-1. Alize and Tatiana played amazing tennis and they also made a big suprise. Good luck to both teams in the final!

Ana Konjuh | Donna Vekic | Mirjana Lucic-Baroni | Petra Martic | Jana Fett | Tena Lukas | Tereza Mrdeza
Aleksandra Krunic | Anett Kontaveit | Beatriz Haddad Maia | Ivana Jorovic | Kaia Kanepi | Garbine Muguruza | Sorana Cirstea | Sabine Lisicki | Jelena Ostapenko | Caroline Wozniacki | Venus Williams | Belinda Bencic

Karolina Sprem | Ana Ivanovic | Nicole Vaidisova
