Leipzig 2003

Kim is playing there!
She'll be seeded #1

Will she play doubles with Elke?

Sweet as Belgian Chocolate, Bubbly as Champagne

"When you do your best, it's always good enough" - Kim Clijsters

"No matter what happens, you have to try to stay positive, bad things can happen, but if you try to stay positive, something positive will come out of it…I believe that everything happens for a reason" - Kim Clijsters

"Goed is de ergste vijand van zeer goed" - Pascal Smet

"Als je iemand idealiseert, verlies je het contact met de werkelijkheid"

"Ca s’apprend par la souffrance, ça s’apprend par les déceptions, ça s’apprend par la densité du mal que ça te fait, plus ça te fait mal et plus ça te fait grandir. Y a des moments où tu te dis je ne vais pas le supporter, ça, ça fait trop mal, et pourtant tu passes au travers."

I just hope she can beat Justine in the final...

Prayed through the nights
felt so alone
suffered from alienation
carried the weight on my own
Had to be strong
so I believed
and now I know I've succeeded
in finding the place I conceived

I actually think Kim should withdraw from this tournament. She is still in melbourne she was at the doubles today, so I expect she will stay for lleyton's match with federer. when is she going to leipzig?? I guess her first match won't be till Wednesday? I'm thinking she will leave Aus on sunday night or monday morning, what do you think?
Maybe it is just me but she doesn't seem to be taking it too seriously, don't know how much practice she has done in the last two days cause she has been supporting the guys in DC hope I am wrong about that.

I would love to see her play doubles with Elke
But I actually hope she withdraws, then has two solid practice weeks before filderstadt.

kim&lleytonrule - Maybe it will be good for her; if she hasn't focused on Leipzig too much, she will be relaxed and not worrying so much. Kim's problems aren't with her physical game - it's her mental game that lets her down.

Yeah,I think it's better,if she withdraw.
She can spend the time with Lleyton and practice til Filderstadt.
I hope, she is defending her title.

I'm very proud to be a LLEYKI!!!
Come on Lleyton and Kim !!!

Possible 2nd round match... Kim vs. Dokic

*edit 1* Now site says Kim vs. Pierce/Torrens Valero
*edit 2* Pierce and Torrens aren't committed....so Dokic is again an option...maybe against Elke...

C'mon Belgians

Altough the flight will take a long time, you do actually also 'win' some time flying west back to Europe. If she were to leave Australia on Sunday night Australian time, she should still make Leipzig by Monday noon, CET. If really required, she could only start her tournament on Thursday and still have over 2 days to prepare for her first match.

Leipzig website

If anyone wants to see the actual draw go to the WTA's site. Kim's second round opponent will indeed be either Dokic or a qualifier.
