Arrow Kim news week of July 14 2003

One of Kim's sponsors, Siemens, has organised a day with Kim and Justine for the children of their employees yesterday.

The event took place at the Siemens site of Huizingen.

The children performed some cute dances for the two tennis stars, and had the opportunity to hit a ball with them.

Kim received gifts from the children too. One gift was a large handmade sort of painting , all very cute and it looked like Kim had a great time (as did the kids LOL).

Kim was interviewed by the media (incl. TV), as usual all smiles and praise, and no surprise talking very fast, again.

In case I don't see any pics of this event posted, I'll post mine then instead.

btw Kim was in red Fila shirt, for the fashion lovers among the CCLers

A second Kim news topic:

Re Kim's team

The De Standaard newspaper brings in its July 14 edition the following:
(idem Flemish TV corp VRT)

Clijsters and De Hous are talking about a contract renewal.

translated and edited by Ingrid

After a very successful first year of Kim with Marc De Hous and Evelyne Coppens, talks re a possible renewal are now being held. Lei Clijsters: "Normally, we will continue with Marc and Evelyne. But just like in the past, at the times of Carl Maes, we also make some inquiries in the tennis world in case we wouldn't get an agreement."

Edit:

This is already 'old' news,sorry:
it has just been announced that De Hous and Coppens have signed a prolongation until August 2004.

Another bit of news, in fact from last Friday

As nobody posted it here:

Last Friday (July 11, 2003) there was a charity auction for the Limburg Coma association.

However it didn't obtain the results the organisers had expected...

Kim, as well as other famous Flemings (yes, we do have them ), had donated some stuff.

Some results as example:

- Kim's autographed racquet was auctioned for 205.

- Kim's shirt (also autographed) was sold 65...

- Kim's skirt (autographed) for 75...

I don't know, but maybe these organisers just didn't use the right communication methods to promote this event.
On the other hand, it's vacation time so maybe not such a brilliant idea to raise enough money these weeks.
