Kim's doubles rank after Roland Garros??

She was 6th last week, she had NO points to defend and she's now in the semis of RG

Any chance of her ending in the top-5, top-4?

Thanks, you maths maniacs

Ai will move up to #4, and Raymond at "5 and Kim stays at #6

They will need to reach the finals to get Kim into top5

If the best 17 results are with Ai, then Ai and Kim will have exactly the same amount of points, so ...

It's possible to reach rank three this year.

But they are not...last year Kim wasn't playing doubles for most of the year, and Ai played with Fujiwara I think. They even made the Masters. So Ai's ranking is better than Kim's

Heehee well I'm here but Rhythmboy summed it up very nicely

Raymond is at 5 with 2598 points Kim currently has 2570 points (with 324 points for the frech semi) If they make the final Kim will get 534 points for Roland Garros and make her total points 2780 and therfore be 5. Ai will be 4, but just she will have 2804 points and Husarova who is 3 has 286 points so she will have closed the gap a lot.

But they play Black/Likhovtseva who are a very good team, so kim and Ai will have to play very well to win against them, it would be great to see Kim and Ai in another sla final

Yes but what that means is Ai won't actually be able to add anything at the Masters unless they make the final or win it (that's if they qualify) while Kim can only add. Ai has 595 points to defend on the hardcourts pre US Open while Kim has 396 points to defend. Kim also has 298 to defend at the US Open while Ai has nothing to defend there. Indoors Kim has to defend Luxembourg. SO basically they are pretty even and come the end of the season they should have the exact same totals, but Ai has actually played odubles in 1 or 2 more tournaments than Kim this year.

Glad I could be of assistance
