German Open

Serena has withdrawn from the German Open "cos she has played too many tournaments this year". What planet are those being played on then, cos I havent seen them!!

Sorry, that should of course be German Open and of course I should have said that I hope KC wins it, presumably she will the the favourite and top seed.

Venus is playing in Berlin... I had an inkling this was going to happen after Serena pulled out. Still, nice of little sis to pull out so big sis can defend her number 2 spot.

Wot number 2 spot? I thought Kim was No 2 now? Is it just me or is everyone off the planet this week? Perhaps you are on Venus?!

Planet Venus, I guess.

2000-2007: My "Kim years". My best years as a tennis fan. A few bitter losses but a lot of great matches and great wins. Thank you, Kim Clijsters!
26.03.2009: More Kim years to come!

Kim occupies the number 2 spot but apparently by the time of Roland Garros Venus can take it back PLUS the number 2 seeding at Roland Garros. And doing well in Berlin will surely help Venus to assure the number 2 seed spot for the French.

After Warsaw, Kim will be ranked 3rd, as she doesn't defend her points! But, if she does some great appearence in Berlin (where she has nothing to defend) and in Rome, then she can become 2nd again, also supposing Venus won't do well! That's a lot of "if"! So, if mathematicaly Kim can take back that second spot for RG, I doubt she will because Venus won't lose early in Warsaw or Berlin (I suppose)! But for Wimbledon, I think that Kim can take back the 2nd spot!

The problem with having the number 2 spot by Wimbledon is that mostly likely they will still give Venus the #2 seed

So unfortunatly it doesn't look like Kim will have the #2 seed at either of these slams which is really the time she needs it most

Anyhoo Kick some butt in Berlin Kimmie!

and Venus don't do so well
