Smile Good draw for Kim :)

It would have been possible that Kim had to battle a strong seed in the US Open draw. But no, she has a very decent draw that could see her all the way to the quarters against Venus.
Good luck Kim, you can do it

Re: Good draw for Kim :)

Bartoli is capable of a good match. That's round 2.
The winner should get to Venus.

Re: Good draw for Kim :)

Well, it's a decent draw. Venus in 4th round, she could have had Kuznetsova or Azarenka. She should be able to make it to the 2nd week .

I believe Kim can reach a 4th round. I hope to see Venus in 4th round as well. It could be a great match.

And how is Venus better for Kim than Kuzny or Azarenka ?

Yeah with Vee's record at the US Open, Kim really did strike the jackpot by drawing her over Kuzzie and Vika

You're misreading Hantu's post. He is saying that Sveta or Vika would have been a better draw, not Venus is a better draw than those two.

The second week is the 4th round on, which is when Venus would meet Kim. Not Kim defeating Venus in order to do so. Get it?

True, but Venus is playing the worst tennis she has ever played. Basically it's making sure the ball comes back and Venus will hit it out, and I don't think she'll change her level around before 2010.

Re: Good draw for Kim :)

Venus is very inconsistent this is a good draw for Clijsters. The last time Venus and Clijsters met at the US OPEN Venus lost in 2005. Venus has NOT won a hard court slam in eight years. Venus has not won a hard court event in America in seven years.

Actually I meant: she could have drawn Kuzzie or Vika, would have been easier. But Venus is okay I guess.
