I can't get used to the idea that she won't be on court this time next year

Re: Kim's retirement

I will be spending a lot less hours watching tennis
or getting up in the middle of the night to watch a match

Re: Kim's retirement

I think that every single fan is disappointed that Kim is going to retire. She took this decision long time ago and I don't think that something or someone can make her change her mind. Of course I'd like too see her play another 10 years, but I just have to accept her decision and be happy for her. I wish her a great great life from now on and a lot of kids
For me, tennis won't be the same without her. She's the only one that I trully admire. I will definitely miss her!!!
But it won't be a bad idea to sign a petition, asking her not to retire, and send it at Kim's home

Re: Kim's retirement

Do we have to talk about retirement just yet
and yes a petition or some messages that could be sent to her are a good idea

Re: Kim's retirement

I can't imagine what it will be like when that day comes.
The positive side of it : no more getting up in the middle of the night because of Kim, no more nerveracking matches to watch, no more near heart attacks and no more need to read all the c**p on wtaworld.

well moonlight I can't really say the same, I'm an Amélie fan and believe me following her is just as bad for the nerves than Kim

I'd be interested if we arranged to collate and send messages wishing her all the best and thanking her.

What will I do? Well there's only really been three players I've ever really supported. Chris Evert was the first. I died when she retired. But then I started going nuts for Steffi. But after her no-one really (although I quite liked Jennifer C). But after Wimbledon 2003 I went nuts for Kim. Today I like Nicole V and Jelena J - but nowhere near like for Kim now and Chrissie all those years ago. Showing my age now.

Re: Kim's retirement

What do you guys think, shall we open a thread with messages for Kim? I'm sure we'll find a way to get them sent to her Or we could put them in here, that might cheer up this thread.

Re: Kim's retirement

Well if people post them here, I can put them together and arrange to get them printed and sent

OK I edited the thread title, hoping that Inne won't hate me for doing it just to let people post messages here
