2007 Proximus Diamond Games - Antwerp : News, articles, etc

As it's Kim's last year on tour, I also wanted to open a thread myself... and what a tournament I have chosen to open a thread for... It'll be Kim's last tournament played in Belgium, the Proximus Diamond Games in Antwerp!

I've already received my tickets for Kim's first match on the 14th of February! I wish her all the luck to win this tournament, it'd be such a wonderful present!

Does anyone have tickets for Antwerp also?

Anvers: Kim's last home tournament

I know it is soon, but i found something regarding this tournament. i guess the belgians are really lucky and they can visit this "Kimuseum"

it's French, not my favourite language either but i found the article in French so... but anyway, i'll sum up the article in a few words.
from february 11th, in antwerp, the organisers of the tournament will open a "kimmuseum", where one can find kim's most important trophies, pictures, basically highlights from her gorgeous career.
I think it's a great idea and i'm so, so sorry that i cannot be there

I hope some forum members here are going, and can bring back pictures!

I'd love to go to the Antwerp event, sounds like a lot of fun.

Ugh why did you have to name this thread "Anvers"? Antwerp's a Flemish city

It looks like the poster is from Roumania and I suspect its because he/she speaks French and not Dutch. I hardly think its a huge crime, even bearing in mind the obvious Belgian sensitivities, of which the poster may be (blissfully) ignorant .

Don't worry, I'm sure our Flemish friends will recover after a short rest in a darkened room

You don't have to say sorry!
Anvers, Antwerp or Antwerpen, it's all the same

Re: Anvers: Kim's last home tournament

I'm not offended by this, it's just silly to write Anvers instead of Antwerp or Antwerpen. I do appreciate that this is something doris was totally unknown of so I don't blame her at all

Is this Kimuseum permanent or just while the Antwerp tourny is on?

Damn, sometimes I really think the language drama is way worse in Belgium then in Canada.

There'll be a museum in honor to Kim in Antwerp

I hope that we'll get to see her US Open trophy
