So if I read that draw right, she could meet
kuzzie in the QF
Serena/Sharapova in the SF
Amélie/JHH in the final
gonna be tough to get all the way... All the best!
The good news is that they show the tourney here from the 1st round

Next week tennis all week long Now we only have to hope eurosport knows which matches are most important to show, like Kim, Kim and Kim of course, and they really shouldn't forget Kim

I wonder what she's going to do. Indeed give a match away halfway through the tournie or give it her best shot to win, and maybe risk being too tired for the USO.

So even if ES announced they would show all the night sessions during the USO they didn't say anything about this week . And they bloody stop coverage at 2 am (btw I'm not in the UK anymore meaning I'll have coverage during the whole USO this year )

Jes can we do a deal, I tape Lleyton's matches and you tape kims

For all the debate there's been in here since Kim got "Penged" about her form, tournament strategy, etc, I've just been comparing Kim's tournament wins this year with 2003 (which even a blind man would agree was the "best" year for Kim so far). Look at this:-

14/08/2005: Los Angeles

31/07/2005: Stanford

18/06/2005: Eastbourne

02/04/2005: Miami

19/03/2005: Indian Wells

10/11/2003: Tour Championships

26/10/2003: Luxembourg

12/10/2003: Filderstadt

10/08/2003: Los Angeles

27/07/2003: Stanford

21/06/2003: Rosmalen

18/05/2003: Rome

16/03/2003: Indian Wells

11/01/2003: Sydney

Kim won 9 tournaments in 2003 and in 2005 so far has won 5. Given that in 2005 Kim did not start her season on day 1 of the season, it is reasonable to disregard the 2003 Sydney win and look at the results for the comparable playable part of both years to date. When you do that, Kim is in fact doing just as well in 2005 as she did in 2003!

Yippee!!

I appreciate and understand that there is more to life and analysis than a simplistic comparison of tournament wins (although some would disagree with that! ), but I just thought I'd put this in to cheer us all up!! I mean, its pretty positive isn't it?!

Patiently waiting to join the silver surfers

Oh well...cheering up...
A year ago we got to know Kim wasn't going to play the last Slam of the year after missing the previous two and we hadn't been through the Hasselt disaster yet and now we need to be cheered up because Kim won some tournaments without playing impressive and therefor might not live up to her The Favourite status at the US Open....meh, we could be off worse
