For all the debate there's been in here since Kim got "Penged" about her form, tournament strategy, etc, I've just been comparing Kim's tournament wins this year with 2003 (which even a blind man would agree was the "best" year for Kim so far). Look at this:-

14/08/2005: Los Angeles

19/03/2005: Indian Wells

10/11/2003: Tour Championships

10/08/2003: Los Angeles

16/03/2003: Indian Wells
Kim won 9 tournaments in 2003 and in 2005 so far has won 5. Given that in 2005 Kim did not start her
season on day 1 of the
season, it is reasonable to disregard the 2003 Sydney win and look at the results for the comparable playable part of both years to date. When you do that, Kim is in fact doing just as well in 2005 as she did in 2003!
I appreciate and understand that there is more to life and analysis than a simplistic comparison of tournament wins (although some would disagree with that!
), but I just thought I'd put this in to cheer us all up!! I mean, its pretty positive isn't it?!
